MEDIA ADVISORY: Tennessee launching 'Recovery Congregations' in Memphis

Make plans to join the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for its Inaugural Celebration of Recovery Congregations in Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. This new initiative is designed to offer more Tennesseans with substance abuse issues the opportunity to get clean and sober through recovery programs in their faith based organizations.

The City of Memphis has been selected to launch Tennessee’s new ‘Recovery Churches’ initiative for a number of reasons. One of the primary considerations is the astounding number of faith communities located in the city and throughout the west Tennessee region.
