Chris became the CFG Deputy Director in April 2023 after serving two years as a Senior Management Consultant and two years as a Management Consultant prior to that.

Chris assists the Director by managing the day-to-day operations of CFG. He ensures the office’s portfolio of projects and programs are driving operational efficiency and lowering cost at a statewide level.

He is a graduate of multiple prestigious leadership academies, including the Council of State Government’s Staff Academy of Governmental Excellence (SAGE) Program, Tennessee State Government’s premier leadership academy, LEAD TN, and Leadership Tennessee’s Leadership Next Program.

Chris is the state’s primary long-term strategy development facilitator, launched the Governor’s Veteran Fellowship Program at the request of the Office of the Governor, and led AWS 2.0, the initiative transitioning the State of Tennessee to a hybrid work model in response to the COVID19 pandemic. 

Before joining CFG, Chris worked at the Department of Veteran Services and was a Military Police Soldier in the Tennessee Army National Guard, deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and achieving the rank of Sergeant.

He has a bachelor’s in criminal justice from the University of Memphis and a Master of Public Administration from Tennessee State University.
