Lauren May serves as a Senior Management Consultant for the Office of Customer Focused Government. In this role, Lauren leads the implementation of Alternative Workplace Solutions in the Departments of Commence and Insurance, Revenue, and Labor and Workforce Development. She currently serves as the lead recruit for the Governor’s Management Fellowship, which is a prestigious and highly competitive fellowship awarded to exceptional applicants who wish to serve and learn with the state of Tennessee’s top executive leaders. Lauren is also involved in the Governor’s Excellence in Service Award program, which recognizes employees who have gone above and beyond in their job responsibilities to serve their customers.

Prior to joining CFG in January 2016, Lauren was an Executive Administrative Assistant for the Department of General Services, where she served as a member of the Commissioner’s Support Team and was responsible for supporting the Executive Leadership Team.  In this role, Lauren managed the Deputy Commissioner’s schedules, emails, and accompanied the Commissioner to enterprise leadership meetings, providing him with necessary materials and producing meeting outcome documents for directors. She is a recipient of the Core Value Award for The Department of General Services, for exhibiting Integrity, Responsibility, Innovation, Collaboration, and Customer Focus. Lauren received a Bachelor of Science in human environmental science from the University of Alabama in 2011.
