Mount Carmel Man Arrested On Arson, Fraud Charges

NASHVILLE – State Bomb and Arson officers along with Baileyton and Mount Carmel police have arrested a Mount Carmel man on charges related to a Jan. 11, 2015 fire in Baileyton.

Kenneth Rader, 58, was arrested and charged with multiple criminal counts including arson, reckless endangerment, a false report and insurance fraud related to a Jan. 11, 2015 fire at 920 Bailey St. in Baileyton. Rader was arrested by officers at his Oak Street residence in Mount Carmel on Jan. 5, 2016. He was transported to the Greene County Jail by Baileyton Police where he is being held on a $62,000 bond.

“This is another good example of cooperation between state and local law enforcement agents to help make Tennessee a safer place,” Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance Deputy Commissioner Gary West said.
