Carroll County Resident Arrested on Aggravated Arson Charge

NASHVILLE – Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office fire investigators and Huntingdon police have arrested a Carroll County man in relation to a March 6, 2017 residential structure fire in Huntingdon.

Michael Davis, 36, was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Arson in connection with an incident at 1345 Northwood in Huntingdon. At the conclusion of an on-scene investigation by state fire investigators, Davis made a full confession to the crime. Davis is the son of the Northwood homeowner and is currently being held on $25,000 bond.  Court actions are pending.

“Arson is a serious crime that carries serious consequences for perpetrators,” said Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance Deputy Commissioner Gary West. “I urge all Tennesseans to help keep their communities fire-safe by reporting arson to state and local officials.”
