TDOC To Host Job Readiness And Career Fair

NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Department of Correction is partnering with local employers to hold a job readiness and career fair for ex-offenders in the Nashville area on Monday, April 11, 2016. 

At 8:30 a.m., a Career Coach Bus from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development will arrive to provide assistance with resumes, interviewing skills and information about educational and training opportunities.  At 10:00 a.m., the career fair will begin.  Employers looking to hire will meet with job seekers and accept applications.

Ex-offenders are encouraged to attend and bring their resumes and any other qualifications or certificates they may have earned.

Reducing recidivism through evidence-based programs and continued support after an offender’s release from prison is part of the Tennessee Department of Correction’s ongoing mission to ensure and enhance public safety.
