TDOC Minimum Custody Inmate Captured

MEMPHIS - A minimum custody offender, Terry Mason #143218, who absconded from Mark Luttrell Transition Center (MLTC) is back in Tennessee Department of Correction custody.  Terry Mason was found hiding with Jacqueline Mason inside her home on the 3400 block of Cloudland Drive in Memphis, Tennessee.  Both were arrested without incident.

Terry Mason is being charged with escape and will be transported to a maximum security facility.  Authorities are expected to charge Jacqueline Mason with Accessory After the Fact.  She will be transported to a Shelby County facility.

Terry Mason was discovered missing shortly before 10 Saturday night.  Correctional Officers determined Mason had not returned from his place of employment as required/expected.  Supervising officers implemented appropriate procedures including alerting local authorities.  The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) Office of Investigation and Compliance, working in conjunction with the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Memphis Police Department and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Mason.                                   

Mason was serving active sentences for robbery offenses out of Shelby County dating back to 2010.  He has been in the MLTC program since September 2016.
