Nashville Day Reporting Center Hosts Grand Opening
NASHVILLE - On Thursday, March 15, the Tennessee Department of Correction will host a grand opening for the Nashville-area Day Reporting and Community Resource Center (DRC/CRC).
Addressing the causes of recidivism is essential to enhancing public safety. Offenders re-entering society on community supervision are more likely to struggle with substance abuse, lack of adequate education and job skills, limited housing options, and limited access to health care. Programs at the DRC/CRC will serve to address these barriers through daily reporting, comprehensive treatment, and access to resources, all within a model focused on accountability and self-discipline. This ensures offenders will gain the tools necessary to successfully reintegrate into society as productive citizens, ready to work.
Reducing recidivism through evidence-based programs is a central element of the Tennessee Department of Correction’s non-negotiable mission to ensure and enhance public safety.
