Clemency Hearing Information

NASHVILLE – On Wednesday, May 23, 2018 the Tennessee Board of Parole will have a clemency hearing at the Tennessee Prison for Women.  Please note that while this is a public hearing it is being held in a secure facility.  That being said there are strict guidelines that must be adhered to for admittance.

Items prohibited include:

  1. Cellular telephone
  2. Camouflage clothing
  3. Spandex clothing
  4. Drink containers
  5. Tobacco products
  6. Nail clippers
  7. Pocket knives
  8. Medication
  9. Sleeveless tops
  10. Shorts, Short Skirts, Short Dresses
  11. High Heels, Sandals or flip-flops without a strap that covers the heel
  12. Food items
  13. Clothing with anything offensive
  14. Sheer clothing
  15. Lack of Underclothing
  16. Clothing that is tattered or has holes
  17. Electronics
  18. Paper money/change/checkbook/credit card/billfold/purse/or wallets
  19. Keep jewelry to a minimum
  20. Camera
  21. Recording devices.
  22. Apple Watch, Fitbit, Samsung Watch or any type of smartwatches

Upon arrival at the facility, staff will direct you to the designated parking area.  After securing your vehicle, please proceed to the checkpoint area for processing through security.  Please bring only your one (1) car key and your state-issued photo identification card.

The hearing will start at 10 a.m., therefore, no one will be admitted after 9:45 a.m. through the close of the hearing.  Immediately following the hearing, those in attendance are expected to vacate the property so the facility can return to their normal schedule.
