MCCX Achieves ACA Reaccreditation

WARTBURG - The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is pleased to announce that one of the department’s East Tennessee facilities has earned reaccreditation by the American Correctional Association (ACA).  During the audit, which was held in the fall, Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX) received a high score of 100% on the mandatory standards and 99.8% on the non-mandatory standards.

According to Warden Mike Parris (pictured right) this audit shows just how hard the MCCX correctional professionals work.  He states, “Day in and day out the officers and staff of MCCX give their best.  I couldn’t be more proud of them.”

TDOC Commissioner Tony Parker adds, “The vision of this department is to be recognized as the best correctional agency in the nation.  Achieving ACA reaccreditation speaks to the professionalism of the team at Morgan County and across the state.”
