NASHVILLE – On Thursday April 18, 2019, the Nashville Day Reporting Center (DRC) celebrated its first graduating class.

A total of three participants were honored for completing the three-phase intensive, substance abuse treatment program, marking almost one year of sobriety for each respectively.

Davidson County Criminal Court Judge Angelita Blackshear Dalton provided the keynote address encouraging the graduates as they embark on a new chapter in their lives saying in part, "We should see this ceremony, this commencement as the start of all that life has to offer you, and more importantly all that you have to offer life."

Since opening last year, the Nashville DRC program has provided tailored treatment to each participant and utilizes evidence-based programs taking twelve months to complete.
