TDOC and Jackson Police Department to Host First Focused Deterrence Call-In

JACKSON – On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the Tennessee Department of Correction and Jackson Police Department will host the first Focused Deterrence Call In for individuals who have repeated violent offenses.

In an effort to reduce recidivism, 10 offenders were selected by a panel of community members; those selected individuals will attend the first call-in at the Civic Center in Jackson.  They will meet with law enforcement, prosecutors and community leaders and offered incentives to give those individuals opportunities to stop the cycle of crime.
