Governor Haslam, Commissioner Rolfe Announce PathGroup to Make Major Expansion in Middle Tennessee

Pathology and lab test provider to invest approximately $18 million in Davidson County

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and PathGroup officials announced today that the pathology and clinical laboratory services company will undertake a major expansion in Middle Tennessee.

PathGroup, one of the largest private providers of pathology and clinical lab services in the U.S., plans to create more than 200 jobs and invest approximately $18 million in a consolidated lab and corporate back office in Davidson County.

“PathGroup has been serving Nashville’s health care community for more than 50 years,” Haslam said. “I’d like to thank PathGroup for its continued commitment to Middle Tennessee. The creation of more than 200 well-paying health care jobs is welcome news for our state and brings us closer to making Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

Headquartered in Brentwood, PathGroup currently operates three labs in the Nashville area that will be now be located in the new lab facility at 1000 Airpark Center Drive.
