NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Local government bodies and community based agencies can now apply for grants for criminal justice and victims service projects. The Office of Criminal Justice Programs (OCJP) in the Department of Finance & Administration today announced the solicitations and a series of workshops for community service providers and local government entities. OCJP is the State Administering Agency of Federal Block Grant Funds for criminal justice and victim services in Tennessee.

“These grants help communities across the state serve adult and child victims of crime, so they can heal from the trauma and lead more rewarding lives. It benefits everyone to help agencies access funds for this work,” OCJP Director Bill Scollon said. “The grant application process can be made easier with some key instruction and information, which is offered in the workshops.”

A series of five workshops are scheduled from February 6 – 12 in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis and Jackson. The schedule is outlined on the OCJP website at: https://www.tn.gov/finance/office-of-criminal-justice-programs/ocjp/fa-ocjp-grants/fa-ocjp-grantapp.html.

The 2018 Grant Solicitations include:
