Information Technology Company to Invest $600,000, Create 116 New Jobs in Chattanooga

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today announced Hönigsberg & Düvel Corporation, an information technology company, will expand its Chattanooga operations. The announcement represents an investment of $600,000 and will create 116 new jobs.

“When companies in Tennessee make decisions to expand and grow, it is our goal to offer the right environment and partnerships to ensure those jobs are created here,” Haslam said. “I am grateful to Hönigsberg & Düvel for increasing the company’s presence in our state and creating more high-quality jobs for our citizens.”

“Under Governor Haslam’s leadership, we are working to further our reputation as a business-friendly state with skilled workers ready for employment,” Hagerty said. “Our state is competing globally, as well as nationally, for new development, and it is heartening to hear of existing businesses like Hönigsberg & Düvel finding success in their industries and expanding opportunities for Tennesseans.”

“Tennessee has been wonderful partner for Hönigsberg & Düvel, and we thank Governor Haslam and Commissioner Hagerty for helping us add jobs,” said Heiko Juerges, President and CEO of H&D Corporation. “We also appreciate the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce for helping us connect with local and state resources.”

Hönigsberg & Düvel Corporation is an IT services company that specializes in consulting, project management, and outsourcing. The company is an independent, U.S.-based corporation and part of H&D International Group, a growing, global concern of more than 1,600 employees and 22 offices around the world.  Hönigsberg & Düvel Corporation has specific expertise in automotive, banking, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, utilities, government, and a variety of other industries.

“We’re delighted Hönigsberg & Düvel has chosen to increase its numbers in Chattanooga,” Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger said. “This is another example of how our community offers a great environment for growing technology companies.”

“Hönigsberg & Düvel established its presence in Chattanooga in 2009 as a point of entry to the U.S. market,” Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield said. “It’s heartening to see them grow from that starting point.”

“We helped Hönigsberg & Düvel get oriented to Chattanooga when they first arrived,” said Charles Wood, VP of Economic Development for the Chattanooga Chamber. “Led by our Existing Industry Department, this high-tech project is representative of the Chamber’s continued focus on growing high wage jobs in the Chattanooga region.”
