Haslam Announces Reward in Sevierville Hit-and-Run Death

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam today announced a $2,500 reward for information leading to the apprehension, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Cordell Breighner on July 15, 2017.

Breighner was struck and killed by a vehicle off Old Knoxville Highway near Owenby Drive in Sevierville on July 15, 2017 during the early morning hours. He was 19 years old.

“We ask anyone with knowledge of the case to come forward to help bring to justice whoever is responsible for this crime,” Haslam said.

Sevier County District Attorney General James Dunn requested the reward from the governor to help generate information in this case.
