NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Members of the 45th Civil Support Team, Tennessee National Guard will undergo an external evaluation beginning this morning, May 10, 2016 and culminating late in the evening on Thursday, May 12, 2016. Some of the activities will be visible by the public particularly in the vicinity of the Lupton Library on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus.

This year's training scenario requires the 45th CST to conduct an interagency training response mission in coordination with the Hamilton County Emergency Management Agency. It is designed to test their ability to respond to a chemical, biological, or radiological threat. The Chattanooga Fire Department will also be on hand along with the evaluators from United States Army North.

The 45th CST is a 22 person team comprised of Army and Air personnel from the Tennessee National Guard. They work primarily with county emergency management agencies, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, or TEMA, Fire and Police Departments, and the Department of Homeland Security.
