Tennessee Adjutant General set to address members during annual conference

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee’s 76th Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Jeff Holmes, will provide a “Year in Review” to more than 700 Tennessee National Guard Officers, retirees and civilians gathering in Murfreesboro this weekend for the 90th Annual Conference of the National Guard Association of Tennessee.

The Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center will again host the conference which brings officers and former officers from across the state and nation to professional development sessions, business meetings, corporate displays, and concludes with a formal banquet on Saturday evening.

The conference will convene on Thursday, March 28 with a golf tournament at Old Fort Golf Club. Festivities will continue on Friday beginning at 8:45 a.m. with an official conference Welcome Ceremony with officials from Murfreesboro and Rutherford County welcoming the NGATN members.

The official Business Session will begin on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. featuring addresses by Governor Bill Lee; members of Tennessee’s Congressional delegation; retired Brig. Gen. Roy Robinson; President of the National Guard Association of the United States; and Maj. Gen. Jeff Holmes.

The conference will conclude on Saturday night with a formal reception and banquet featuring entertainment by award winning country music star Darryl Worley whose 2003 blockbuster hit, “Have You Forgotten,” spent seven weeks at #1 on the Billboard country singles chart, one of only five titles to reign that long during the 21st century’s first decade.
