Briley Parkway North Ramp From Lebanon Road To Close Temporarily

Tuesday, August 22, 2006 | 07:00pm

Nashville, Tenn.– The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) announced today that as part of the continuing Briley Parkway construction project, the Briley Parkway North entrance ramp from Lebanon Road will be closed for one week, beginning Friday August 25, 2006. The ramp will reopen Thursday August 31.

“We regret any inconvenience this short term closure will cause motorists,” said Winston Gaffron, TDOT’s Region 3 Director. “Closing the ramp will allow for the accelerated construction of an essential part of the Briley-Lebanon Road interchange, and will move us closer to completing the entire project.”

Temporary message boards are already in place in the area, advising motorists of the closure. Detour signs will also be posted on Lebanon Road, giving instructions for an alternate route to Briley Parkway North. Motorists will be directed east on Lebanon Road to McGavock Pike, then north on McGavock Pike to Two Rivers Parkway, then west on Two Rivers Parkway to Briley Parkway North. Please see the map below for a detailed view of the detours.

The area of Briley Parkway impacted by the project serves approximately 36,000 vehicles a day.
