Media Advisory:Tennessee Educators Train for National Parent Project

WHAT:       Tennessee school administrators will complete a week-long intensive training session to become certified Parent Project facilitators. Tennessee’s Office of School Safety and Support Services and Sumner County’s Safe and Drug-Free Schools Program are co-hosting the free training event.

WHEN:           October 29 – November 2              

WHERE:        Gallatin Civic Center, 210 Albert Gallatin Ave.

INFO:              The Parent Project is a national parenting skills program for parents of strong-willed or out-of-control adolescent children. The 10- to 16-week curriculum teaches parents concrete prevention, identification, and intervention strategies for destructive adolescent behaviors (poor school attendance and performance, alcohol and other drug use, gangs, runaways, and violent teens).  For more information about the Parent Project Facilitator Training, please visit http://www.parentproject.com.
