Special Season Deer and Turkey Permits Mailed

The Special Season deer and turkey hunt permits have been mailed to successful applicants, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).

The special season antlerless deer permits were inadvertently printed with “shotgun-only”. Antlerless quota deer permits (hunt codes 1 – 61) allow gun/muzzleloader/archery. The quota fall turkey permits (hunt codes 62-127) allow shotgun/archery.

Leftover permits will go on sale Monday, October 29, 2007, at 8:00 Central Time. Permits can be obtained at any TWRA license agent or online. Be sure to retain your receipt, as the receipt serves as your permit. No permits will be mailed for leftover permit sales. Hunters are allowed to obtain up to five (5) permits for a single county and no more than fifteen (15) permits total.
