INFO: U.S. Government students from four counties will watch Education Commissioner Lana Seivers present the Department of Education’s 2008-09 budget request to Governor Phil Bredesen. Following the budget hearing, students will participate in virtual discussion with the Governor, Commissioner Seivers and other hearing participants. Participating in the civics lesson will be students from Farragut High School in Knoxville, Happy Valley High School in Elizabethton, Hixon High School in Chattanooga and Central High School in Memphis.
