Wednesday, November 21, 2007 | 05:07am

Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Ripley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center has been lifted effective November 6, 2007. The Center is a 144-bed licensed nursing home located at 118 Halliburton Drive in Ripley. The Department conducted a follow-up survey and confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities.

On August 14, Ripley was ordered not to admit any new patients based on conditions found during an annual survey conducted August 6 through August 8. During the investigation, surveyors found violations of administration, resident protection, pharmacy, medication administration and physician’s orders standards.
