November 2007 Unemployment Figures - County
NASHVILLE – Tennessee’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November 2007, released last week, was 4.9 percent. The United States unemployment rate was 4.7 percent.
County non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for November 2007, released today, show four counties decreased from October, 89 counties increased, and two were unchanged.
Knoxville had the state’s lowest major metropolitan statistical area (MSA) rate at 3.9 percent, up from 3.5 percent in October. The Nashville MSA was 4.2 percent, up from 3.7 percent. The Chattanooga MSA was 4.4 percent, up from 4.0 percent, and the Memphis MSA was 5.2 percent, up from 4.9 percent.
