NASHVILLE - Visitors to the West Tennessee Career Center at 416 East Lafayette Street will now notice a new name and new location beginning Monday, June 4. The new office named the Tennessee Career Center at Jackson is moving to 362 Carriage House Drive. The new building will offer more parking, a new state of the art resource room with computers and the regular services of the Career Center including; job placement, training opportunities, workforce information, employer services, and job seeking skills enhancement.

“For the past 25 years job seekers and employers have been coming to our old location on East Lafayette Street. It’s an older building, without enough parking for our customers,” said Bill Elinor, Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development Manager. “The staff is very excited to move to the new building on Carriage House Drive. It will help us to better serve our customers.”

The Career Center will be closed on Wednesday May 30 at 2:00 p.m. through, Friday June 1 for the move process. The new location on Carriage House Drive will open at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4
