Nashville, Tennessee — The Tennessee Department of Safety wants to know how it’s doing in the area of customer service. The Department launched two online customer satisfaction surveys a year ago that provide the public a forum to share their experiences and recommendations with the department. Department officials would like to take this opportunity to remind the public of this avenue for communication with the Tennessee Department of Safety.

“The Department of Safety is a customer service-based Department so customer satisfaction continues to be a top priority,” stated Department of Safety Commissioner David Mitchell. “We are in the process of making many changes at the Department that focus on how we deliver our services to customers. Feedback from patrons is a valuable asset to our divisions.”

Created by the Department of Safety in conjunction with TennesseeAnytime.org, the surveys were designed to gain a greater understanding of customer needs, preferences and behaviors in order to continue the customer service improvements undertaken by the department.

One survey is devoted to Driver License Issuance while the second survey is devoted to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Both surveys address everything from employee demeanor to facility amiability. Results are gathered and sent to the appropriate divisions for review. Suggestions will allow managers to see the customer’s point of view when trying to improve and implement services in the future.

Both surveys are available at the Department of Safety homepage:

Customers may also take the survey on the kiosks at most Tennessee Driver License Center locations across the state.
