Middle Tennessee Duck Blind Drawing Information

Waterfowl hunters will gather Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 to draw for waterfowl blind positions on Cheatham, Haynes, Old Hickory, and AEDC (Woods) wildlife management areas in Middle Tennessee.

The annual blind drawings are always held on the first Saturday of August across the state.

In order to draw for a blind, sportsmen must be at least 16 years of age, appear in person, and possess the proper licenses/permits. Registration at all sites will begin at 7:00 a.m. and end at 10:00 a.m. The drawing will begin immediately after registration closes.

Region II Duck Blind Drawing Locations:

  • Old Hickory - Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon
  • Cheatham Lake – Cheatham WMA headquarters
  • Haynes Bottom - Cheatham WMA headquarters
  • Woods Reservoir - AEDC Gossick Center

Registration is from 7:00-10:00 a.m.

Each applicant must be at least 16 years old, have an adult license, and apply in person.

Persons wishing to sign-on must be present and must sign-on when the blind is chosen.

Licenses required to register for blind drawing:

Old Hickory Unit I & II, Cheatham Reservoir, Haynes Bottom, and Woods Reservoir:

Annual Hunting/Fishing (type 001) plus an Annual Small Game and Waterfowl permit (type 091) -or- either adult Sportsman License.
