TOPIC: Impact of Perkins funding on local Career Technical Education programs

The Tennessee Council on Career and Technical Education is an autonomous advisory body authorized by the Tennessee Legislature.  Together with the Tennessee Department of Education’s division of Career and Technical Education (CTE), the Council will be assisting with two forums for the CTE Division and conducting one forum for the Council to solicit input on the impact of Perkins Funding on CTE Programs at the local level and the needs and adequacy of CTE programs across the state.  Representatives from the business, industry, and education sectors are invited to attend and submit written feedback that will be used to direct the Council’s recommendations regarding future CTE training.  Recommendations developed by the Council will be presented to the State Board of Education, Tennessee Board of Regents, members of the Tennessee General Assembly and the Governor.
