Media Advisory: Tennessee to Release 2008 State Report Card on Schools

INFO: The department will host two pre-announcement conference calls for members of the media planning to cover the report card release:

  1. Thursday, October 30 at 10 am CST
  2. Wednesday, November 5 at 10 am CST

Reporters must register to participate in a call and receive the call-in information. Space is limited to 20 lines per call. Reporters only need to participate in one call.

Please note that state offices will be closed Tuesday, November 11, the day after the report card release, in observation of Veteran’s Day and department officials will not be available. These pre-announcement calls will provide important information and the opportunity to ask questions in advance of the report card release. The release of Tennessee’s state report card has been moved this year due to the 2008 presidential election.
