NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Wharton Nursing Home has been lifted. The facility is a 62-bed licensed nursing home located at 55 West Lake Road in Pleasant Hill. The Department confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities.

On October 31, the nursing home was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during a complaint investigation and annual survey conducted October 20 through October 22. During the survey, surveyors found violations of the following standards: administration and resident rights.
