Auction Set Nov. 16 for Seized Ammunition in Williamson County

NASHVILLE --- An auction has been set for Sunday, Nov., 16 in Williamson County for rifle and shotgun ammunition seized by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The auction is a result from a sporting goods business that did not attach tax stamps on numerous boxes of ammunition.

The auction will take place at 2 p.m. near the front door of the Williamson County Courthouse in Franklin, the TWRA has announced.
 
Ammunition to be auctioned in rifle caliber or shotgun gauge includes:
 
Rifle ammunition: .22 caliber (11 total boxes), .270 caliber (5 total boxes), 7mm caliber (total 10 boxes), .300 caliber (total 4 boxes); shotgun ammunition: 12 gauge, 2 ¾ inch (total 17 boxes), 12 gauge, 2 ¾ inch steel (total 9 boxes), 20 gauge, 3 inch steel (total 10 boxes), 12 gauge 3 ½ inch steel (75 shells).
