MEDIA ADVISORY: TDOT Prepares for Winter Weather in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will be receiving approximately 700 tons of salt tomorrow at its regional maintenance facility located just off Centennial Boulevard in Nashville. Multiple shipments of salt will be arriving between 8:00 a.m. and Noon.
 
In addition to the salt deliveries, there will be photo & video opportunities to show equipment and other aspects of TDOT’s winter weather operations.

                                    Between 8:00 a.m. – Noon
 
 
            Where:           TDOT Region 3 Facility
                                    6601 Centennial Blvd.
                                    Nashville, TN 37243
 
 
            Directions: From Interstate 40, take Exit #204 (White Bridge Road/Briley Parkway). Follow
            Briley Parkway to Exit #26 B (Centennial Boulevard West). From Centennial Boulevard, turn
            left at the second traffic signal into the TDOT complex. Continue straight until you see the large             salt shed on your right.
