Escaped Inmate Wanted
CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. - The Department of Correction is seeking the public’s help in locating an inmate who escaped from the Carter County Annex this morning. Inmate Randy Hicks was reported missing at 7:00 a.m. when staff noticed he was not at his scheduled worksite.
Hicks worked as a custodian at the annex. It is believed he may have removed a security screen on a window in the basement to make his escape. He is currently serving a 31-year sentence for introducing contraband into a penal facility, facilitation of first degree murder and other convictions out of McMinn County.
Hicks is a white male, 5″7′, 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 45-years-old.
