Thursday, June 05, 2008 | 07:00pm

Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Peachtree Center Nursing & Rehabilitation nursing home has been lifted effective June 2, 2008.

The facility is a 98-bed licensed nursing home located at 202 Enon Springs Road East in Smyrna. The Department confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities.

On May 13, the nursing home was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during a complaint investigation conducted May 1 through May 12. During the investigation, surveyors found violations of the following standards: resident protection, administration, physician notification, nursing services, pharmacy services, medication administration, records and reporting, and staff training.
