The Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Nookie’s Loving Care Home has been lifted effective August 12, 2008. The facility is a four-bed licensed home for the aged located at 2993 Mt. Olive in Memphis. The Department confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by state authorities.

On May 1, 2008, the home for the aged was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during an annual survey conducted April 22 through April 28. During the investigation, surveyors found violations of resident protection, policies and procedures, administration, personal services, staff records, medication administration, resident records, life safety and building standards.
