Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Briarcliff Health Care Center nursing home has been lifted. The facility is 120-bed licensed nursing home located at 100 Elmhurst Drive in Oak Ridge. The Department confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities

On September 3, the nursing home was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during a complaint investigation and annual survey conducted August 25 through August 27. During the survey, surveyors found violations of the following standards: administration, resident protection, physician services; nursing services; and pharmacy services.
