TDOT to Break Ground on First Better Bridges Program Project

Nashville, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely will join state and local officials in Nashville this Thursday, November 12, to break ground on the state’s first bridge replacement project funded through the Better Bridges Program. The project will replace the 67 year old bridge on Murfreesboro Road over Mill Creek. The $1.9 million project is one of more than a hundred bridge replacement, repair, or rehabilitation projects funded through the program.  
 
Thursday’s event will begin at 9:30 A.M. on Murfreesboro Road at Mill Creek. Attendees may park at the Taco Bell located at 990 Murfreesboro Road. The event will last approximately 30 minutes.
