REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate routes in Davidson County for guardrail repair and installation.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
       Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
       Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.
       Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, 7PM-4AM, (excluding weekends), Possible alternating lane closures between exit 43 and exit 44 on I-24 eastbound for milling and paving.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)
       Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
o    I-24, both directions, between the I-440 Interchange and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 52 to MM 62), 2-3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation.)
 
THOMAS & ASSOCIATES: Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, each day, 2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound and westbound near Waldron Rd. (Exit 64) for blasting. Local police officers will be utilized for this operation.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from Noah Fork Creek (LM 3.45/MM100) to US-41 (LM 8.77/MM105): (Recovery Act Project)The contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform punch list items with joint sealant each night except Saturday. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is December 2009. 
 
HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. The contractor will implement lane closures at various locations in the project area between the hours of 10:00 pm. and 5:00 a.m. the next morning to install the overhead structures for the Dynamic Message Signs. To maintain safety to the motoring public, any work over affected traffic lanes will require pacing traffic while the structures are being lifted into position. Possible traffic stoppage for a maximum of 15 minutes can be expected during these times. Estimated completion date is December 2010.

HAMILTON COUNTY, US-27 (I-124) repair of 15 bridges from I-24 (MM 0) to the Olgiati Bridge (MM 2.0):  This project is complete and awaiting final inspection and addressing of punchlist items. Estimated completion date is December 2009.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River:
       Existing six lane cross-section (arch spans) weekday closure
o    Wednesday, December 09, 12AM until Friday, December 11, 7PM: There will be one Westbound lane closed, (two lanes open), three Eastbound lanes open.
o    Friday, December 11 7PM until Monday December 14, 6AM: There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), two lanes closed Eastbound (one lane open).
o    Monday, December 14 6AM through Wednesday, December 16: There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open).
       Existing four lane cross-section (east of the arch spans) weekend closure
o    Wednesday, December 09, 12AM until Friday, December 11, 7PM: There will be two Westbound, two Eastbound lanes open.
o    Friday, December 11, 7PM until Monday, December 14, 6AM: There will be two Westbound lanes open, onelaneclosed Eastbound (one lane open).
o    Monday, December 14, 6AM through Wednesday, December 16: There will be two Westbound, two Eastbound lanes open.
NOTE: The eastbound exit ramp (Ramp N-O) located just east of the arch spans will be closed from 7PM Friday, December 11, until 6AM Monday, December 14. The westbound entrance ramp (Ramp IL/D) located just east of arch spans will remain open at all times. Delays due to weather may cause lane closures to be canceled or rescheduled.

       HENDERSON, DECATUR, & BENTON COUNTIES
o    Thursday, December 10 through Tuesday, December 15. I-40 westbound and eastbound MM 86.00 to MM 133.00 from 8PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
 
HENDERSON COUNTY Design-Build on SR-104 over I-40 MM 101.00:Saturday, December 12, I-40 eastbound from 6AM-10AM. The contractor will haveintermittent lane closures to place gravel in the median to access the bridge over I-40 @ MM 101.00. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. (THP will be assisting with traffic control).
 
BENTON COUNTY, Survey Work:Saturday, December 12 through Tuesday, December 22. I-40 Eastbound and Westbound MM 131.00 to MM 135.00 from 8PM-6AM, nightly. Long Engineering will be conducting a field survey for this section of I-40 from SR-191 (Birdsong Rd) to the Tennessee River Bridge to provide a surface use in hydraulic analysis in conjunction with the current RSAR project underway. The consultant will have one lane maintained at all times. Closures will not be required every day. This schedule allows for rain days and scheduling flexibility.

o    I-40, both directions, at the Wilson County Line (MM 223)
·         Friday December 11, 8PM to Monday December 14, 6AM, 1 left lane closed, 3 lanes remain open.
o    I-40, Westbound, between Briley pkwy and Spence Lane (MM 213 to MM 215)
·         Thursday December 10th (in case of rain), 2 left lanes closed to remove barrier rail, 1st lane closed at 8pm, second lane closed at 10pm.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project) Tuesday December 15 and Wednesday December 16, 10 AM and 1PM, Rolling roadblocks for I-40 East bound and Westbound in order to remove and replace span wires.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Grading, drainage, and paving of the I-40 ramps @ 2nd & 4th Ave.: Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16: No closures scheduled.
 
REGION 3 Installation of Cable Barrier:Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Friday and Saturday), There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound in Wilson County from MM 225 to MM 231 in order to install cable barrier. One lane will remain open.
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations: The contractor will have daytime shoulder closures in order to place signs on project. The nighttime lane closures will be needed to place mix and set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Estimated completion date is July 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing project from MM 267.25 to MM 274: (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures to perform stone and striping operations between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is December 2009.
 
ROANE COUNTY, I-40 Eastbound and Westbound between Mile Markers 341.40 and 361.70: On Tuesday night, December 8, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for workers present and lane closures as crews repair guardrail and use extreme caution through this area.
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East between Mile Marker 385 and 386:On Tuesday, December 15, 2009, weather permitting, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., motorists should be alert for a left lane closure in this area as crews perform routine maintenance on ITS devices. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-40 West between Mile Marker 395 and 394.5:On Tuesday, December 15, 2009, weather permitting, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., motorists should be alert for a left lane closure in this area as crews perform routine maintenance on ITS devices. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
 
COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East near the North Carolina State Line: I-40 East remains closed near the North Carolina state line due to a rockslide approximately three miles inside North Carolina. I-40 East is closed just east of the Waterville Exit (Exit 451). I-40 thru traffic should follow I-81 North (Exit 421) to I-26 East (Exit 57A) towards Asheville, however, all exits on I-40 in Tennessee are open and accessible.

KNOX COUNTY, Eastbound I-640 between I-40 and Western Avenue:On Thursday night, December 10, 2009 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., I-640 East will be reduced from three lanes to one for roadway patching. Motorists should use caution and expect potential long delays approaching this area.
 
 
I-55
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: Widening of exist bridges, 3 lanes reduced to 2 each direction. Southbound will be shifted to the newly widening roadway. Traffic switched to new roadway. There will no longer be access to Mallory (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Use Third St (Exit 7) detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed indefinitely. This existing section of roadway will be new location of the northbound I-55 entrance ramp. Use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
       Thursday, December 10 through Wednesday, December 16, northbound from 9AM-3PM. The contractor will haveintermittent lane closures to work on interstate bridge construction (Bridges 1 & 2). One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.
 
 
I-155
 
DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: bridge repairs, over Mississippi River. Northbound and Southbound shoulders are closed.
o    Thursday, December 10 7AM through Wednesday, December 16 7AM (24 hours), westbound and eastbound. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to re-paint the steel structure and perform concrete repairs. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.

SUMNER COUNTY, Bridge repair of two bridges on I-65 over U.S. 31W & on US 31W over US 41:Thursday December 10 through Wednesday December 16: No closures scheduled.
 
 
I-75

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 widening project from 1.1 miles south of Lee Highway (SR-2, US-11) to 1.2 miles north of Lee Highway (SR-2, SR-11): The contractor will only need a lane closure on I-75 during this period if there is an emergency situation which requires maintenance of items. If a lane closure is required, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. 
       The contractor will have lane closures on Hill Top Road, Hunter Road, Snow Hill Road, Mountain View Road, Lee Highway, and Old Lee Highway from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM to construct new roadway and accommodate bridge demolition and gas line construction. However, the contractor must move off the roadway from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM each day during the shift change at Miller Industries. One lane will remain open at all times.
       The temporary slip ramp to I-75 South is now open at Hilltop Drive. Drivers needing to access I-75 South from the Hunter Road area can now do so by using the ramp at hilltop Drive, avoiding the Ooltewah interchange altogether. The slip ramp has its own dedicated lane onto the interstate so drivers accessing I-75 South via ramp are not required to merge when entering the interstate. The temporary ramp will be in place for the remainder of the project.
       The bridge on Old Lee highway is now open to traffic. The truck station located at the end of the project on I-75 South is now closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
Estimated completion date is December 2010.
