NASHVILLE --- At approximately 12:10 p.m. CST, Trooper Wendall Reagan, 42, was traveling east on I-40 in his SUV patrol unit when he was involved in a one vehicle roll over crash in the median at mile marker 228.

Trooper Reagan was transported by Wilson County Emergency Services (WEMA) to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.   THP Investigators in the Nashville District and with the THP Critical Incident Response Team (C.I.R.T.) responded to the scene and are investigating the crash.   Investigators are asking anyone in the area who may have witnessed a white Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon that initially pulled over then left the scene of the crash to contact the THP. Investigators do not believe the white vehicle was involved but may have witnessed the crash.

Trooper Reagan was commissioned with the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 2001. Trooper Reagan is assigned to Overton County in the Cookeville District and serves in Special Programs, where he is responsible for the New Entrant Program. New Entrant educates commercial vehicle carriers in rules and regulations.
