MEDIA ADVISORY: Moving Forward Graduation Summit Wednesday

The 2009 Moving Forward Graduation Summit will convene to address strategies to improve high school graduation rates in ten Tennessee school districts.  This event will serve as a starting point for planning local graduation summits and develop strategies for implementing dropout prevention programs that will increase graduation rates.

WHEN:    8 a.m. – 4p.m. Wednesday, March 18 

WHERE:   Room 206 of the Nashville   Convention Center, 601 Commerce Street

WHO:     Summit sponsors include American’s Promise Alliance, TN Department of Education, Volunteer Tennessee, AT&T, Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, State Farm Insurance, the Tennessee Business Roundtable, the TN Department of Economic and Community Development, the TN Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the TN Higher Education Commission – Gear Up Tennessee.
