Celebration for Children of Inmates

Nashville, TN - A special Easter party for children of incarcerated parents will be held this Saturday at the Tennessee Prison for Women.  Volunteers from Wings Ministry will host the party to give children a chance to make Easter cards and crafts and enjoy lunch with their parents.

The goal is to provide families with an incarcerated loved one a chance to be together as a normal family for an afternoon.  It's estimated that more than 21,000 children under age 18 have a parent incarcerated in a Tennessee prison.
