NASHVILLE - An inmate who escaped from the Charles Bass Correctional Complex/Annex is back in TDOC custody.  Internal Affairs agents captured Troy Dean Pomeroy at 12:30 this morning at a hotel in South Nashville. Pomeroy was taken into custody without incident.

Pomeroy, along with inmate Richard Tucker, 34, escaped from the facility on April 2.  It is believed the men scaled a fence at the minimum-security annex.  Tucker, who is serving a 17-year prison sentence for especially aggravated robbery, was captured immediately.  Internal Affairs agents tracked Pomeroy, 43, to a room at the Executive Inn on Murfreesboro Road.

Agents also arrested Marjorie Gayle Hemby, 56, of Paragon Mills Drive in Nashville.  Hemby was in the hotel room with Pomeroy and is believed to have aided him in eluding capture.  She has been booked into the Metro Nashville jail and charged with accessory after the fact.

Troy Pomeroy was serving a three-year prison sentence for aggravated assault. Commissioner George Little ordered that Pomeroy be immediately transported to the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution following his capture.  He will face an additional charge of escape.
