TDOT Awards Contract for the Henley Bridge Project

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced today that Britton Bridge, LLC. of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee will rehabilitate the historic Henley Bridge in Knoxville. TDOT Commissioner Gerald Nicely awarded the contract for the rehabilitation of the Henley Bridge to Britton Bridge, LLC. on Wednesday, September 29. Britton Bridge submitted the lowest of three bids for the major rehabilitation project at $24,696,969.

The Henley Bridge Community Center on 220 East Blount Avenue is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The center is a place where motorists, business owners, and residents can go to get information on detours and the project. The Henley Bridge Community Center is also a project office for consultants, contractors and inspectors involved with construction.
