Middle Tennessee Construction October 14 – October 20, 2010

 DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project)

Saturday October 16, 6AM through Monday October 18, 5AM, Shift traffic on White Bridge Road to allow for restriping of northbound lanes. Close southbound lanes of White Bridge Road and shift traffic to allow for demolition of west half of the White Bridge Road overpass. Outside left turn lane of I-40 westbound off-ramp will remain closed until overpass reconstruction is complete. Right lane of southbound Briley Parkway will be closed until overpass reconstruction is complete. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Tuesday October 19 and Wednesday October 20, 8PM-5AM, Closure of two lanes of I-40 east and west bound for demolition of White Bridge Road overpass. One lane in each direction will remain open.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.)

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 for the removal of the existing bridge deck.

Saturday October 16, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to perform sidewalk work.

Saturday October 16, 6AM through Sunday October 17, 6PM, The Rosa Parks Blvd on ramp to I-65 north will be closed for the installation of a 36” pipe across the ramp.

 

DAVDISON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from SR 45 (OHB) to I-65

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures from the I-24/I-65 split westbound to the Old Hickory Blvd. exit in order to perform parapet repairs.

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9AM-6PM, There will be lane shifts on the ramps at OHB and Briley Pkwy. (eastbound and westbound) in order to clean and seal joints and cracks. Eastbound work will be between 9AM and 6PM. Westbound work will be between 6AM and 3PM. Traffic on the ramps will be maintained.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Median Drainage Improvement on I-24 near MM 53.0

Saturday October 16, 5AM-3PM, The left lane of I-24 eastbound and westbound will be closed near MM 53.0 in order to perform final clean up on the project.

 

DAVIDSON and WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, electrical service, and testing.

·         Briley Pkwy, both directions, between I-40 and Centennial Blvd (MM 6 to MM 27)

·         I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)

·         I-40, both directions, between US 70 and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 196 to MM 222)

·         I-65, both directions, between Concord Rd and Long Hollow Pkwy (MM 70 to MM 97)

·         I-440, both directions, between Hillsboro Pike and I-24 (MM 3 to MM 7)

·         Ellington Pkwy, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and Spring St

Tuesday October 19 and Wednesday October 20, 8PM-5AM, I-24 Eastbound at MM 39, one mile north of Old Hickory Blvd. One right lane closed, one lane to remain open.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing: US 431 (Hillsboro Rd.) from Bridalway Dr. to Harding Place and Installation of Turn Lanes at Kingsbury Dr.

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Sunday), and Saturday October 16, 7AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hillsboro Rd. and at Kingsbury Dr. in order to mill and pave the roadway and begin excavation for turn lanes. Flaggers will be utilized for this operation.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70 ( Lebanon Rd.) from Highland View Dr. to Andrew Jackson Pkwy., SR 45 (OHB) from I-40 ramp to I-40, SR 265 (Central Pike) from SR 45 to the Wilson Co. Line

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 8PM-5AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on Lebanon Rd. from Highland View Dr. to near Andrew Jackson Pkwy. and on OHB from Andrew Jackson Pkwy. to I-40 in order to mill and pave the roadway. One lane will remain open.

Friday October 15, 8PM through Monday October 18, 5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-65 in Giles County from MM 0.0 to MM 22.5 in order to stripe the roadway.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Slide Repair on SR 249

Now through approximately December 15, SR 249 at LM 4.6 north of Pegram will be closed for emergency slide repair. Detours will be in place.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 13 (Wilma Rudolph) over the Red River

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. (SR 13) southbound over the Red River in order to perform bridge work.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Widening on Waldron Rd (Recovery Act Project)

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Concord Rd. from Sunset Rd. to Edmondson Pike

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekend) There will be one lane closed on Concord Road from Crockett Rd. to Sunset for building golf cart/walk path and dressing slopes. Flaggers will be utilized for this operation.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Slide Repair on SR 96 near Natchez Trace Pkwy.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 (Franklin Rd.)

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 (Franklin Rd.) from Moore’s Lane to Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in order to mill and pave the roadway. Flaggers will be utilized for this operation.

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on SR 96 between Royal Oaks Blvd. and I-65 in order to mill and pave the roadway. Troopers will be utilized for this operation.

 

WILSON COUNTY, SR-171 (Mt Juliet Road) Widening: (Recovery Act Project)

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekend), There will be temporary lane closures on Mt. Juliet Road (SR-171) northbound and southbound, from Division Street to Lebanon Road for the purpose of performing excavation and placement of base stone.      

 

WILSON COUNTY, SR 109 widening from I-40 to SR 24

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:

Davidson County

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 21, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, and Saturday October 16 and Sunday October 17, 6AM-6PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

Thursday October 14, 8PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound between mile marker 52 and mile marker 54 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

Tuesday October 19, 8PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 westbound between mile marker 52 and mile marker 54 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

Cheatham County 

Thursday October 14 through Wednesday October 20, 8PM-5AM, (excluding Weekends), There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound in Cheatham County between Mile Marker 189 and Mile Marker 192 in order to patch potholes on the concrete bridge deck. One lane will remain open.

 

TDOT Bridge Inspection

Davidson County

Tuesday October 19, 9AM-3PM, I-24 eastboundon the Silliman Evans Bridge the right lane will be closed for bridge inspection. Two lanes will remain open.

Wednesday October 20, 9AM-3PM, I-24 westboundon the Silliman Evans Bridge the right lane will be closed for bridge inspection. Two lanes will remain open.

 

TDOT Utilities                  

Sunday October 17 through Thursday October 21, 7PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR-254, Old Hickory Blvd at Hillsboro Road. This request, by Piedmont Natural Gas Co. to open-cut into the roadway E.B.L. to install a relief stack and relocate a scada/test station next to a an existing regulator.

 

 

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
