MONTGOMERY COUTNY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 eastbound in Montgomery County between mile marker 7.4 and mile marker 9.4 in order to do emergency bridge rail repair. One lane will remain open. 

REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate routes in Davidson and Robertson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
  • Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 
  • Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

DAVIDSON and WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, electrical service, and testing.
  • I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)

DAVDISON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from SR 45 (OHB) to I-65:
  • Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Sunday), and Saturday October 23, 6AM- 12 Midnight, There will be lane closures from the I-24/I-65 split westbound to the Old Hickory Blvd. exit in order to perform parapet repairs and begin bridge repair.
  • Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 9AM-6PM, (excluding Sunday), There will be lane shifts on the ramps at OHB and Briley Pkwy. (eastbound and westbound) in order to clean and seal joints and cracks. Eastbound work will be between 9AM and 6PM. Westbound work will be between 6AM and 3PM. Traffic on the ramps will be maintained.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance of the ITS:
  • Thursday October 21, 9PM-9:45PM, Close the right lane of I-24WB at MM 49.4 for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. Three of four lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday October 21, 10PM-10:45PM, Close the right lane of I-24EB at MM42.3 for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. One of two lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday October 21, 11PM-11:45PM, Close the right lane of I-24EB at MM 44.0 for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. One of two lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from North of Spring St. to North of I-40:Monday October 25 and Tuesday October 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound in order to begin milling ramps.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Bridge Inspection
  • Tuesday October 26, 9AM-3PM, I-24 eastboundon the Silliman Evans Bridge the right lane will be closed for bridge inspection. Two lanes will remain open.
  • Wednesday October 27, 9AM-3PM, I-24 westboundon the Silliman Evans Bridge the right lane will be closed for bridge inspection. Two lanes will remain open.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from U.S. 41 (MM 105) to SR-55 (MM 111): The contractor will have nighttime lane closures on I-24 from 7:00 PM-- 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday nights to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor will be clearing, relocating utilities and installing barrier rail. The contractor will have a lane closure on I-24 East between MM 151 - 153 from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM to install portable barrier rail. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 / SR-153 / SR-29 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There also may be weeknight lane closures throughout the project between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, nighttime weekend lane closures between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, and intermittent temporary stoppages of traffic (less than 15 minutes) at various locations throughout the project area to allow the contractor to perform ITS work. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, rehabilitation of the bridge on I-24 East over the U.S. 27 ramp to I-24 East (MM 177-179) and the bridge on South Seminole Drive over I-24 (MM 181-183): The contractor will have nighttime lane closures in both I-24 work zones from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays to perform bridge rehabilitation work. At least one lane will be maintained at all times. At the I-24 Eastbound bridge site, a traffic shift is now in place, and I-24 East traffic will utilize the marked two-lane Exit 178 off-ramp as an I-24 East detour so the contactor can perform work on the bridge deck of I-24 East over U.S. 27 North in downtown Chattanooga. This traffic shift will be in place until the project is completed. I-24 westbound traffic will not be affected. TheSouth Seminole Bridge over I-24 in Chattanooga is now reduced single-lane bridge. This one-lane operation is necessary to make repairs to the concrete deck surface of the bridge. Traffic signals have been installed at each end of the bridge to regulate the flow of traffic through the area. This one-lane traffic operation will remain in place while the repairs to the bridge are being completed. Motorists are advised to anticipate short delays when traveling through this area. Estimated project completion date is November 2010.

UNICOI COUNTY, I-26 between Mile Markers 40 and 43: Motorists should be alert for lane closures through this bridge deck repair and resurfacing project. Motorists should expect possible delays and use extreme caution traveling through this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River
  • Various closures for existing six lane cross-section (arch spans and westward):
    • Wednesday October 20, through Wednesday October 27: There will be two eastbound and two westbound lanes closed.
  • Various closures for existing four lane section (east of the arch spans):
    • Wednesday October 20, through Wednesday October 27: There will be one eastbound and one westbound lane closed.
  • I-40 will be reduced to one eastbound and one westbound lane for traffic until mid-November 2010.
  • The westbound “On” ramp (Ramp IL/D) located just east of the arch spans will be closed.
 
FAYETTE COUNTY-Re-Surfacing on I-40 Eastbound MM 27 through MM 35:Sunday October 24 through Friday October 29, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound, Mile Marker 27.0 through Mile Marker 35.0, for milling and paving operations. Tennessee Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control.

REGION IV On-Call Guardrail:Wednesday October 20 through Wednesday October 27, 8:00 p.m.-6:00a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail and cable rail.
·         I-40, Haywood County, westbound (MM 52.5 to MM 52.0), one lane to remain open.
·         I-40, Benton County, eastbound (MM 132.5 to MM 133.5), one lane to remain open.
 
HENDERSON COUNTY-Resurfacing on I-40 between Mile Marker 115 and 121:Sunday October 20 through Friday October 27, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound from Mile Marker 115 to Mile Marker 121 for scoring and striping operations..
 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Monday October 25 through Friday October 29, 8AM-4PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 eastbound in Cheatham County between mile marker 185 and mile marker 188 in order to trim vegetation from a rock bluff. One lane will remain open.

  • Thursday October 21 through Wednesday October 27, 8PM-6AM, There will be two lanes of I-40 east and west bound closed for demolition of White Bridge Road overpass and milling and paving of I-40. One lane in each direction will remain open.
  • Saturday October 23, 6AM-8PM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 east and westbound in order to mill and pave the roadway. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance of the ITS
  • Friday October 22, 12 Midnight-12:45AM, Close the right lane of I-40WB at MM 207.0 for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. Two of three lanes will remain open.
  • Friday October 22, 1:30AM-2:15AM, Close the left shoulder of I-40WB ramp at White Bridge Rd MM203.8. Two of two lanes will remain open.
  • Friday October 22, 2:30AM-3:15AM, Close the right lane of I-40EB at MM208.3. Three of four lanes will remain open.
  • Friday October 22, 3:30AM-4:15AM, Close the right lane of I-40WB at MM208.3. Three of four lanes will remain open.

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations: The contractor will have a right shoulder closure in order to work on the project. Nighttime lane closures will be needed to set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Each lane has been narrowed to a 10 foot width. The possibility exists daily for potential traffic pacing due to rock blasting activities. Emergency lane closures on an as needed basis will be implemented during daylight hours to accommodate pothole repair.  All other lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from SR-136 (MM 287, LM 19.65) to Falling Water River (MM 292, LM 24.16): The contractor will have nighttime lane and shoulder closures on I-40 from 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday nights to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East and West bridge over the Pigeon River Overflow near Mile Markers 440: Motorists should be alert for lane closures around the clock through this bridge repair project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

REGION IV BRIDGE REPAIR:Monday October 18 through Friday October 22, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures Eastbound on I-240 where it crosses Poplar Avenue, for bridge repair on the I-240. Two lanes will remain open.

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 West between Millertown Pike (Exit 8) and I-75 Interchange (Exit 3): On Thursday night, October 21, 2010 beginning at 11 p.m., motorists should be alert for a rolling roadblock on I-640 West as crews perform guardrail attenuator repairs. The entrance ramp to I-640 West from Broadway (SR 33) will be closed during this rolling roadblock. Motorists may use I-40 West through Knoxville to avoid I-640 and this rolling roadblock during this time. Motorists should be alert for sudden stops, slowed traffic , expect potential long delays and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 East and West over Rutledge Pike between Mile Markers 8 and 10:On Sunday night, October 24, 2010, motorists should be alert for lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform roadway repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution traveling in this area.

 
I-55

REGION IV On-Call Guardrail:Wednesday October 20 through Wednesday October 27, 8:00 p.m.-6:00a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail and cable rail.
·         I-55, Shelby County, northbound & southbound (MM 3.5 to MM 5.0), two lanes to remain open.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is no access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Motorists should use the Third Street Exit (Exit 7) and detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed. Motorists should use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
  • Wednesday October 20 through Wednesday October 27, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures northbound (Mile Marker 8 to Mile Marker 9) in order to perform bridge construction between Bridges 1 & 2. One northbound lane will remain open.
 

I-155
 
DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: Wednesday October 20 through Wednesday October 27: Beginning at Mile Marker 9 in Missouri and extending to Mile Marker 1 in Tennessee.  There will be one eastbound & one westbound lane closed. This work is for the re-painting of the steel structure and for concrete repairs and is a 24 hour closure.
 
 
I-65

REGION 3, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Interstate and State Routes:Friday October 22, 8PM through Monday October 25, 5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-65 in Giles County from MM 0.0 to MM 22.5 in order to stripe the roadway.

GILES COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday, October 21, 9AM-3PM, There will one lane closed on I-65 northbound from the 20.3-21.3 mile markers for bridge repair. One lane will remain open.

  • Saturday October 23, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to perform sidewalk work.

SUMNER COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday October 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 southbound in Sumner County at MM 100-102 in order to remove slide from ditch line. One lane will remain open.


FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.

GREENE COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 28 and 37:Motorists should be alert for nightly lane closures on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.
 
 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
