Opening of New Section of State Route 840 in Williamson County Rescheduled

Nashville, Tenn. – Due to inclement weather forecasted for Middle Tennessee tomorrow, the opening of a new section of State Route 840 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
 
Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen will join Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely and other state and local officials in Williamson County Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. to officially open the new section of highway, which stretches from Highway 100 in Fairview to State Route 46 near Leiper’s Fork. 
 
Wednesday’s event will take place on State Route 840 East, approximately 4.5 miles from the Highway 100 interchange. Attendees should take I-40 West to State Route 840 (Exit #176), then proceed east 12.5 miles to the event site. The event will last approximately 30 minutes.
