NASHVILLE--- Agents with the Tennessee Highway Patrol Criminal Investigation Division (CID) arrested a Spencer man Thursday, October 21, 2010, in connection with a truck stolen from Crossville that was decorated to honor soldiers who have died in the line of duty.

James Jackson Walker, 36, was charged with two counts of theft following a seven-month undercover investigation. A Coffee County Grand Jury indicted Walker last Thursday on the theft charges.

A.J. Brooks of Crossville began decorating the memorial truck with crosses in 2003 to honor his brother and all servicemen who have died in the line of duty. The truck was apparently stolen in February.

Agents with Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), U. S. Marshall Service, White County Sheriff’s Department and Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department assisted CID Agents.
