Bradley County Health Department Receives $57,000 in Federal WIC Funds
CLEVELAND − Tennessee Health Commissioner Susan R. Cooper, MSN, RN, will join other state and local officials on Thursday, October 28th, to present $57,000 in federal funding from the United States Department of Agriculture for the Women, Infants and Children Special Supplemental Nutrition Program to the Bradley County Health Department.
The funding will be used for renovations to the Bradley County Health Department clinic in Cleveland to improve services to WIC clients. The Bradley County Health Department has provided services to nearly 3,000 WIC participants over the past year.
The renovations will include construction of a new entrance to the health department facility to improve access to the clinic by WIC clients.
