Free Resource Showcases Local Crew, Vendors

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Film, Entertainment & Music Commission proudly announces the launch of its new online production directory located at http://tn.gov/film.  The directory currently includes more than 1,300 listings and resources including production crew, production support, post production, production companies and equipment rental in Tennessee.

The directory is one of the many ways the Commission markets the State's wealth of film and television resources and promotes the abundance of local crew and vendors.  It is produced and maintained entirely in-house, and access is provided free to the public.

The directory can be found by selecting the “Production Directory” button on the left menu on the commission website.  There are two options for viewing the directory: “View Listings” or “Search Listings.”  On the View Listings tab, simply select the production category to see all entries.  The powerful Search Listings feature can be used when looking for information on a specific company or individual, and users can also expand the search feature to allow multiple search fields at the same time.

Listings are free and are only provided to Tennessee crew, vendors and service companies.  The directory does not list talent, actors or extras.

To be included in the directory, Tennessee crew and vendors can create a potential listing on the site to be reviewed by Commission staff.  The business or individual's residence must be located physically within the borders of Tennessee.  Registrants are required to have at least one professional credit for each category submitted.  Student projects and micro-budget independent projects are not considered professional credits for the purposes of the directory and will not be accepted.  Credits may be verified in order to ensure accuracy of the information provided to potential clients.

The entirely online application process for crew and vendors is accessible at anytime of the day to create or edit listing information and will be continually updated.  If you wish to be included in the directory and do not have access to the internet, contact the Commission to discuss available listing options.

Part of the Commission's aim is to promote and facilitate economic development of the film and music community through the recruitment of business and promotion of Tennessee as a location for feature films, television productions, commercials and other works.
