REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday October 7 through Wednesday October 13, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Smith, Wilson, Sumner, Williamson, Maury, Giles, and Robertson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday October 7 through Wednesday October 13, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
  • Thursday October 7 through Wednesday October 13, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 
  • Thursday October 7 through Wednesday October 13, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.
  • Thursday October 7, 8PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 westbound between mile marker 53 and mile marker 54 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.
  • Tuesday October 12, 8PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound between mile marker 53 and mile marker 54 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

DAVDISON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from SR 45 (OHB) to I-65:
  • Thursday October 7 through Wednesday October 13, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures from the I-24/I-65 split westbound to the Old Hickory Blvd. exit in order to perform parapet repairs.
  • Friday October 8, 8PM through Monday October 11, 6AM, The ramp from I-65 northbound to I-24 westbound will be reduced to one lane for bridge repair.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
  • Thursday October 7 through Wednesday October 13, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, electrical service, and testing.
    • I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance of the ITS:
  • Sunday October 10, 10:15PM-11:15PM, Close the right lane of I-24WB at MM47.6 for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. Three lanes of four lanes will remain open.
  • Sunday October 10, 11:30PM-12:30AM, Close the right lane of I-24WB at MM 47.2 for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. Two lanes of three lanes will remain open.
  • Monday October 11, 1:15PM-2:15AM, Close the right lane of I-24EB at the Briley Parkway EB ramp at MM 43.5. One of two lanes will remain open.
  • Monday October 11, 9PM-11PM, Close the right lane of I-24WB at MM58.6. Three lanes of four lanes will remain open.

COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from U.S. 41 (MM 105) to SR-55 (MM 111): The contractor will have nighttime lane closures on I-24 from 7:00 PM-- 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday nights to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor will be clearing, relocating utilities and installing barrier rail. The contractor will have a lane closure on I-24 East between MM 151 - 153 from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM to install portable barrier rail. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 / SR-153 / SR-29 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There also may be weeknight lane closures throughout the project between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, nighttime weekend lane closures between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, and intermittent temporary stoppages of traffic (less than 15 minutes) at various locations throughout the project area to allow the contractor to perform ITS work. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, rehabilitation of the bridge on I-24 East over the U.S. 27 ramp to I-24 East (MM 177-179) and the bridge on South Seminole Drive over I-24 (MM 181-183): The contractor will have nighttime lane closures in both I-24 work zones from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays to perform bridge rehabilitation work. At least one lane will be maintained at all times. At the I-24 Eastbound bridge site, a traffic shift is now in place, and I-24 East traffic will utilize the marked two-lane Exit 178 off-ramp as an I-24 East detour so the contactor can perform work on the bridge deck of I-24 East over U.S. 27 North in downtown Chattanooga. This traffic shift will be in place until the project is completed. I-24 westbound traffic will not be affected. TheSouth Seminole Bridge over I-24 in Chattanooga is now reduced single-lane bridge. This one-lane operation is necessary to make repairs to the concrete deck surface of the bridge. Traffic signals have been installed at each end of the bridge to regulate the flow of traffic through the area. This one-lane traffic operation will remain in place while the repairs to the bridge are being completed. Motorists are advised to anticipate short delays when traveling through this area. Estimated project completion date is November 2010.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River:
  • Various closures for existing six lane cross-section (arch spans and westward):
    • Wednesday October 6, through Wednesday October 13: There will be two eastbound and two westbound lanes closed.
  • Various closures for existing four lane section (east of the arch spans):
    • Wednesday October 6, through Wednesday October 13: There will be one eastbound and one westbound lane closed.
  • I-40 will be reduced to one eastbound and one westbound lane for traffic until mid-November 2010.
  • The westbound “On” ramp (Ramp IL/D) located just east of the arch spans will be closed.
 
REGION IV On-Call Guardrail:
Wednesday October 6 through Wednesday October 13, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail and cable rail.
·         I-40, Shelby County, westbound (one ramp lane under the I-240 WB flyover), CLOSED, detour route posted.
·         I-40, Shelby County, eastbound (MM 9.0 to 9.5), two lanes to remain open.
·         I-40, Shelby County, eastbound (MM 14.5 to MM 14.9), two lanes to remain open.
·         I-40, Shelby County, westbound (MM 17.0 to MM 16.0), one lane to remain open.
·         I-40, Shelby County, westbound Exit 16/Germantown Road “Off” ramp, one ramp lane to remain open.

FAYETTE COUNTY-Re-Surfacing on I-40 Eastbound MM 27 through MM 35:Sunday October 10 through Friday October 15, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound, Mile Marker 27.0 through Mile Marker 35.0, for milling and paving operations. Tennessee Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control.

HENDERSON COUNTY-Resurfacing on I-40 between Mile Marker 101 and 108:Wednesday October 6 through Wednesday October 13, No Scheduled Closures

HENDERSON COUNTY-Resurfacing on I-40 between Mile Marker 115 and 121:Sunday October 10 through Friday October 15, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound from Mile Marker 115 to Mile Marker 121 for scoring and striping operations..

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance of the ITS:
  • Sunday October 10, 9PM-10PM, Close the right lane of I-40WB at MM 211.8 for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. Three lanes of four lanes will remain open.
  • Monday October 11, 11:30PM-12:30AM, Close the left lane of 140EB at MM210.3. One of two lanes will remain open.
  • Tuesday October 12, 12:45AM-1:45AM, Close the right lane of I-40EB at MM211.8. Three lanes of four lanes will remain open.

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations: The contractor will have a right shoulder closure in order to work on the project. Nighttime lane closures will be needed to set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Each lane has been narrowed to a 10 foot width. The possibility exists daily for potential traffic pacing due to rock blasting activities. Emergency lane closures on an as needed basis will be implemented during daylight hours to accommodate pothole repair.  All other lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from SR-136 (MM 287, LM 19.65) to Falling Water River (MM 292, LM 24.16): The contractor will have nighttime lane and shoulder closures on I-40 from 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday nights to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East and West bridge over the Pigeon River Overflow near Mile Markers 440: Motorists should be alert for lane closures around the clock beginning Tuesday, October 5, 2010 through this bridge repair project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

REGION IV BRIDGE REPAIR:Friday October 8 through Friday October 15, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures Westbound on Sam Cooper, for bridge repair on the I-240 bridge that goes over the top of Sam Cooper. Two lanes will remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is no access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Motorists should use the Third Street Exit (Exit 7) and detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed. Motorists should use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
       Wednesday October 6 through Wednesday October 13, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures northbound (Mile Marker 8 to Mile Marker 9) in order to perform bridge construction between Bridges 1 & 2. One northbound lane will remain open.
 

I-155
 
DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: Wednesday October 6 through Wednesday October 13: Beginning at Mile Marker 9 in Missouri and extending to Mile Marker 1 in Tennessee.  There will be one eastbound & one westbound lane closed. This work is for the re-painting of the steel structure and for concrete repairs and is a 24 hour closure.

REGION 3, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Interstate and State Routes:
  • Thursday October 7 through Wednesday October 13, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-65 in Giles County from MM 0.0 to MM 22.5 in order to stripe the roadway.

  • Saturday October 9, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to perform sidewalk work.


FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21:
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.

 
I-75

On Tuesday, October 12, 2010, motorists should be alert for a southbound lane closure between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists should use extreme caution and expect potential delays traveling through this area.

GREENE COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 28 and 37:Motorists should be alert for nightly lane closures on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.
